The meeting was place from 11 am to noon with a tea hosted by our host Abdallah Bakri Hotel Atlantic Panorama.


Present: Ms. Halima Aberchane Mohamed Akkar Bouragrag Miss Miriam, Ms. Micheline Glories, Ms. Annik Kermarec, Laqab Said Mrs. Claude Lazard, Mohamed Mennis, Obada Abdessadeq, Salvat Ms. Marie-France.
Excused: Abdallah Bakri, Andre Verdou.

• The final choice of the date of the reunion is:
1) For those who come only to Safi: from 25 to 29 May 2011.
2) For those participating in the round Essaouira, Marrakech, El Jadida: from 22 to 29 May 2011.

• Over 700 letters were sent by mail care of Mr. Dos Reis AD Akkar and Bordeaux and Paris. In addition Mr. Akkar sent a letter by postal mail to 200 Safiots which all Salamites from Safi and appearing on 2002 yearbook of the association Salam.

• The 3 options proposed holiday travel by Andre Verdou Agadir:
1) Stay in Safi's 25 to 29 May 2011 with full support aircraft, reception, accommodation and excursions.
2) Stay from May 22 to 29 (term 1), plus tour of three cities Essaouira, Marrakech, El Jadida.
3) Stay in Safi of May 25 to 29 (without the trip because this option is for those who will drive to Safi)
NB: At the request of distant Safiots who would enjoy their visit to Morocco for a longer stay and visit several cities, a circuit of 12 days (including 5 to Safi) was proposed by A. Verdou (without travel).

• Web site: the design is well underway and by mid-October, it will be functional.


• Exhibitions and documents on display: in the great hall that will house Safi2011 will be held the following exhibitions presenting Safi before yesterday, yesterday and today:
1) Ceramics ancient and modern.
2) Paintings Safiots Safi and elsewhere today and yesterday.
3) Collection of old postcards Safi between 1910 and 1960.
4) Stands regional delegations from
- Education and Training, Tourism, Craft
- Regional Investment Centre (ICC)
5) Sport for a century at Safi
6 ) The centenary of the European School of Trabsini Lycée Al Idrissi through IADB.
7) Stand of the Franco-Moroccan Safi (AFMS).
8) Books and publications on the city of Safi and its area (yesterday and today).
9) Great Wall announcements, research, proposals for trade ...

Mohamed Akkar met for an hour Wednesday, September 15th from 11:30 to midi30 the Wali of the region Doukkala-Abda and presented all the necessary information on the reunion Safiotes May 2011 and details on the organization of this meeting and its program. Mr. Wali has expressed great interest and has assured the organizers for his support and wished success to the reunion. Additionally it has responded positively to requests from Mr. Akkar on the large room and help authorities and elected city and region. Mr. Wali has advised that the reception and organization of exhibitions are made in the village hall which is currently undergoing renovation and was informed that Mr. Akkar 3 tips from the city and region (region, province Hall and Safi) will host a dinner for all participants.
