You all know that for almost a year (June 2010), Belgium has no government, political Flemish and Walloon failing to agree on the composition of the latter despite the appointment of a mediator by the king.
Belgians are getting tired of this situation and want a quick solution to restore the (semi) peaceful political it was. The population is up in recent months various actions to react policies. There are 15 days for example, a march of "shame" had collected 30,000 Belgian, eager to show their commitment to unity and increased fatigue.
Long before the actor Benoit Poolvorde had launched a strike of the razor, hope that the Belgians let their hair grow until a new government is established. The operation "A Belgium-haired" did that almost 1000 Belgian still leave the beard since - it here!
few days ago, a petition offers virtually camped outside the office of Prime Minister of Belgium. More than 150,000 people have already signed and at the same time claim a refund of their 2010 taxes, if any government was found in the next 100 days.
Earlier this week, Senator Marleen Temmerman, a gynecologist by training, had a new idea: make a sex strike! She invites women to "keep their legs closed" (sic) until there was no government. The idea is not new since it has already proven itself in Kenya in a similar movement in 2008/2009. Not sure it works year Belgium! Although this action may cause a smile, I see yet another initiative, especially to try to accelerate the negotiations and see form a new government.
