Saturday
Breakfast near the hotel and crossing Central Park at the reservoir of water - still frozen by the way.
Heading south from Manhattan to go to the Statue of Liberty. The weather is much cooler than yesterday ...
There is wind ...
What makes for photos on the boat,
using the mass media! lol
using the mass media! lol
For the first time I visited the Statue Island. It's not very big but at least we have the pleasure of seeing Manhattan and take pictures without someone who spoils the picture! On the boat is a bit of a battle when we arrive.
Then we visited the Immigration Museum on Ellis Island. As a first and a big favorite! This is the historic site of the arrival of immigrants coming to the USA in the late 19th and early 20th century. The museum has this particular atmosphere as photos, films and other memorabilia have been taken in these same walls. We did not see the time spent with Elodie, we stayed until 15:30 or almost 2 hours!
It also has a great view of Manhattan!
Back toward the center to do some shopping and enjoy the view from the Empire State Building at night. No tail, it was upstairs in 10-15 minutes!
Then back to the hotel to be a restaurant. Elodie had an address of an Argentinean restaurant that one of his friends had advised him. But the restaurant was closed so we did a Mexican place that was very delicious!
Sunday
Last day. We decide to get rid of our bags wanting to leave the station from NY. Since the attacks, the service is closed ! Even 10 years later, there are still injuries. Meanwhile, injuries to the shoulders will be for us ... We could at least enjoy the view from the train station ...
Branch Union Square where we found a nice little place that makes delicious breakfasts on Sunday ...
Then walk to Washington Square. Magic moment because a bright sun and a pianist just for us! Suddenly, there was almost an hour to listen to the piano!
Then stroll through Greenwich Village where I could finally find the latest CDs Adele! Neighborhood :-) very nice especially on Sundays - the equivalent of the Marais in Paris. Lift-off Broadway to 34th street looking for my shoes ... Not found exactly the color I wanted, I'll be back! A bus later we're back in Boston in the late evening. And to think that tomorrow, I returned to the recording lab ...
